14lb Guide Rod spring in XDM 5.25
Is anyone using a 14lb guide rod spring in a XDM 5.25. I know the factory spring is 18ls. I am attempting to get the slide to slam shut on a reload. Any suggestions?????

Use the slide release lever. You are losing time trying to slam the mag so hard it drops the slide.

As a lefty who shoots the 3.8 model... Just go over the top. While I get the competition aspect you/they are going for, training consistently is much more important.

I use the 16lb recoil spring in my XDM 5.25 40s&w. I run reloads that are about 130 PF and the gun seams happy. Craig
